Job Overview: The Sheetmetal Foreman is responsible for supervising the installation and fabrication of ductwork in HVAC systems, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and to company standards. This position requires hands-on leadership and technical expertise in sheetmetal work, as well as strong communication skills for managing team performance and coordinating with Project Managers. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise daily sheetmetal operations, including both fabrication and installation. • Lead a team of installers and fabricators, ensuring proper training, task delegation, and performance management. • Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with codes and project requirements. • Oversee the quality control of all sheetmetal work, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications. • Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed on the job site, promoting a safe working environment. • Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure efficient workflow and project completion. • Track and report progress, materials usage, and potential issues to management. • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for any sheetmetal-related issues that arise. • Ensure that all team members adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Required Qualifications: • 3-5 years of experience in sheetmetal fabrication and installation, specifically in the HVAC industry. • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role. • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, sheetmetal fabrication, and installation processes. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. • Strong communication and organizational skills. • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in construction. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds. • Must be comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions. • Ability to stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
