About the Role: As a Metal Fabricator, you may be responsible for setting up and operating conventional, special purpose machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts by performing duties on the machines such as, but not limited to, Saw, Manual Lathe/Manual Mill, Drilling/Lay-Out, Press Brake and Plasma. Key Responsibilities: • Interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications for both residential and commercial HVAC systems. • Lay out, measure, and mark sheet metal in preparation for cutting and forming. • Cut, bend, notch, and assemble ductwork using a range of tools, including shears, brakes, plasma cutters, and roll formers. • Fabricate a variety of duct types, including round, rectangular, and specialty fittings for both new construction and retrofit jobs. • Maintain adherence to SMACNA standards for both residential and commercial applications. • Assemble duct sections using S-cleats, drive cleats, Pittsburgh seams, and other appropriate methods. • Ensure all fabricated materials meet project requirements for quality, sizing, and airtightness. • Support loading, staging, and delivery coordination of fabricated duct to job sites. • Collaborate with shop and field teams to prioritize urgent or time-sensitive fabrications. • Keep shop tools and equipment in good working conditions and maintain a clean work area. • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
