Sheet Metal Fabricator

Job Overview RM Custom Metals is hiring a Sheet Metal Shop Laborer to support daily sheet metal shop operations. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth and training in fabrication techniques and equipment operation. Responsibilities • Interpret and analyze drawings to determine specifications and requirements for fabrication. • Work with the shop team to fabricate metal. • Fabrication of metal using roll-former, sheet metal brake and metal shear. • Perform machining tasks as needed to achieve precise dimensions. • Operation of forklift for loading and unloading materials and orders. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes. Skills • Previous experience in a shop or construction environment is preferred but not required. • Ability to work 50+lbs and stand for extended periods of time. Good physical stamina and dexterity for handling heavy materials and operating machinery. • Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to metal fabrication. • Willingness to learn and follow instructions • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
