Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic Job Description As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will engage in both new construction and retrofit projects at schools, hospitals, and office buildings. The role involves working with various materials such as galvanized, rectangular, square, and double wall stainless steel. You will also require a general understanding of piping and controls, as well as AC installation and retrofit. Your duties will include measuring and cutting sheet metal to appropriate sizes, installing preassembled ducts, interpreting blueprints, and completing layouts when necessary. Additionally, marking dimensions on materials using scribers, dividers, and squares will be part of your daily tasks. Work Environment Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the opportunity for overtime and potential to transition to a permanent position. Safety is a priority, requiring personal protective equipment such as hard hats, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, and high visibility vests at all times. Sheet Metal Mechanic

HardHat is looking for Sheet Metal Mechanics for projects in the area. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal products and equipment such as ducts in residential, commercial or industrial environments. NO PER DIEM • *JLA BADGE IS REQUIRED** Duties/Responsibilities: • Locate and mark position of pipe and/or duct connections and passage holes, then cut openings to accommodate pipe and/or duct fittings. • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, or smooth surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts, using hand tools or portable power tools. • Install, assemble, repair and clean systems to include Heating, Ventilation and air conditioning ducts, or other sheet metal products. • Perform layout activities, and material takeoffs as necessary • Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installation. • Promote, maintain and adhere to OSHA regulations. Experience: • Must have at least 3 years of verifiable commercial experience. • Experience planning and layout. • Working experience using blueprints, technical drawings and work orders. Requirements: • Have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. • Have tools of the trades.
