Ideal candidates for this position must be individuals who have a minimum 5 years sheet metal experience with items such as stainless tubes. Duties include : Fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment. Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammer operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces. Key Responsibilities • Install metal roofing panels and components. • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, such as gravel stops, eave drip, coping cap, line jacks, gutter/downspout, counter flashing, scuppers, expansion joints, and drainpipes. • Determine material or tool requirements. • Set up production equipment or machinery. • Secure metal panels in place then interlock and fasten grooved panel edges. • Fasten seams and joints together. • Maneuver completed units into position for installation and anchor the units. Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required Education • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience • At least 1 year of sheet metal experience • Experience removing and replacing roof purlins. • Experience installing PBR, R, and MBCI double loc (Trapezoid Panels) systems. • Experience installing all components involved with Metal Buildings. • Experience removing and installing Wall Panels and wall purlins. • Experience in Metal Building construction.
