At this level, the fabricator has the capability to fabricate metal material by applying appropriate fabrication techniques. In addition, this position requires the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to determine appropriate fabrication process. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and works under direct supervision. Maintain work area in accordance to 5S standards. 7. Determine which fabrication process should be used in a given situation. 8. Use a variety of tools and machines. 9. Must be able to set up, lay out materials, and operate press brakes, punch and shear. 10. Report necessary maintenance and repair for equipment used in the sheet metal department. 11.
