Custom Sheet Metal Designer Position We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to contribute to our team as a custom sheet metal designer. This role involves designing custom sheet metal bodies to house various units and equipment on truck platforms. The successful candidate will develop 3D models in SolidWorks based on customer quotes and specific design requirements, create detailed 2D shop drawings, review outsourced body designs for accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: • Design Development: Create custom sheet metal designs that meet customer specifications and quality standards. • Modeling and Documentation: Develop 3D models in SolidWorks and create 2D shop drawings that include all necessary dimensions, materials, and assembly instructions. • Quality Control: Review and manage outsourced body designs to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications. • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve ambiguities and ensure customer design approval.
