Plumber, HVAC, 1st Shift

Viracon LLC Function: Ability to install, repair and maintain plumbing and HVAC systems in industrial, manufacturing setting, ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes. (Individual will also be expected to control inventory and enter in work being done on equipment with computerized maintenance program.) Essential Job Responsibilities: Plumbing: • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in plumbing and pipefitting. • Knowledge of different pipe materials and fittings (copper, PVC, steel). • Proficiency in using hand and power tools (saws, wrenches, soldering equipment). HVAC: • Knowledge of refrigeration systems and air conditioning principles. • Ability to work with wiring and electrical systems. • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment. GENERAL: • Inventories and controls stock of supplies with computerized maintenance program. • General fabrication skills such as welding (ARC, MIG & TIG), torch, cutting equipment. • Able to apply mechanical knowledge/abilities in basic electrical blueprints and meters. • Design layout and installation of plumbing projects. Able to troubleshoot without direct supervision. Qualifications: Vocation Technical training in related field plus 2 years' experience in related field. Ability to read, write and understand work instructions (English). Familiar with operating power tools. Must be flexible in work hours. Regular full-time attendance.
