Seeking Licensed Plumbers for multiple locations in Minnesota!!! Seeking licensed journeyman/master plumbers for long term commercial projects (hospitals, offices, schools, etc) in Mankato, Sherburn, and Randolph Township, MN! Pay: $38-41/hr for licensed journeymen; $41+/hr for licensed masters Per Diem: $100/days worked Schedule: Monday-Friday; 40 hours/week Key Responsibilities: - Install, assemble, and repair water supply lines, waste disposal systems, venting systems, and fixtures - Lay out, measure, cut, thread, bend, and join pipes using hand and power tools for materials such as copper, PVC, PEX, cast iron, and steel. - Set, connect, and test fixtures and equipment, including sinks, toilets, urinals, drinking fountains, water heaters, and backflow preventers. - Install and test hydronic and HVAC-related piping (e.g., boilers, radiant heating, chilled water systems) if within scope. You’ll collaborate with general contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers while working closely with the Superintendent and project team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Business Development & Client Relations • Develop and track sales leads while promoting department services. • Partner with other departments to strengthen collaboration. • Build long-term strategies for departmental growth. • Resolve client concerns and past-due accounts in a professional manner. • Support field personnel through effective customer relations. Project Management • Manage projects to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals, ensuring efficient close-out. • Set up and manage individual projects, including invoices for contract and time & material work. • Collaborate with prime and subcontractors on schedules, change orders, submittals, and quality control. • Lead daily production efforts to maximize project revenue. • Review purchase orders, contracts, and proposals to ensure compliance and scope alignment. Estimating & Financial Management • Estimate job costs, prepare proposals, and present them for review. • Handle billing, approve invoices, and coordinate with payroll for project labor. • Track and control labor and material costs for all jobs. Quality & Production Oversight • Oversee production efforts and ensure the highest quality standards are met. • Purchase materials and manage inventory effectively. • Protect company resources by maintaining equipment, vehicles, and compliance with policies. Qualifications: Education/Experience • Bachelor’s degree in business, Construction Management, or related field preferred. • 3+ years of experience managing mechanical HVAC and plumbing/piping projects strongly preferred. • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered. Skills and Abilities • Strong ability to read and interpret complex instructions, drawings, and contracts. • Proven communication skills—written, verbal, and in presentations—with customers, vendors, and subcontractors. • Bi-lingual skills a plus. • Ability to calculate figures, percentages, and apply basic algebra/geometry to real-world situations. • Proficient in project estimating software, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access. • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships. • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
