A Typical Day in the Life of a HVAC & Plumbing Counter Sales Associate: • Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the City Desk • Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries • Write (and occasionally fill) orders accurately and in a timely manner • Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary • Provide trouble-shooting and technical support • Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues • Restock the counter area according to product brand and location • Monitor product inventory and cull damaged product • Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area • Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable • Perform other duties as assigned A Successful HVAC & Plumbing Counter Sales Associate Typically Has: • Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school OR 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of HVAC & plumbing products. • Excellent relationship building skills. • Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email). • Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task. • A knack for active listening to determine customer needs. • Superior problem solving, project management, and analytical skills. • A high proficiency with computers – experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred. • The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.
