Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have atleast 2 years experience in plumbing and a strong mechanical aptitude. This role involves working on various plumbing projects, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in a corrections setting. A successful Plumber will demonstrate proficiency in using hand and power tools to ensure efficient and effective plumbing solutions. Responsibilities • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with local codes and regulations. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems. • Perform pipe threading, assembly, and installation of various piping materials. S team fitting is a plus. • Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues or necessary repairs. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks. • Assist with Steam Fitting repairs as needed. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications • 2 years experience in plumbing with a strong understanding of plumbing principles. • Familiarity with steam/pipe fitting techniques is a plus. • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required on job sites. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. • Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. • The ability to pass a background check in order to work in a correctional institution. • A high school diploma or GED.
