The Plumbing Service Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal. Performs a variety of services ranging from faucet repairs to water heater installations and plumbing systems replacements for residential customers while maintaining the highest level of customer service. As a plumbing technician, you will work as part of a dynamic team filling a role that suits you best whether it is consulting with customers, repairs, installation, or all of the above. We’re looking for exceptional plumbing service technicians to deliver the most efficient, highest-quality customer experiences in residential plumbing repair and installation. The position will be based in the field, with your very own take-home truck provided by the company. We service mostly occupied residential homes. Join our team today!!! No need to come to the “shop” every day • All shifts available, help create your own work schedule • Voluntary product and systems training • Opportunity for growth into a management position • Thriving customer base and stable work environment • “NO IDLE TRUCKS!” Essential Job Functions: • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures. • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems. • Plan, install, and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment, and controls. These piping systems may be used to transport water, waste, gases, or hot liquids. • Provide excellent customer service to residential customers by educating them on plumbing services recommended in their homes if a foreseeable and/or hazardous condition is detected. • Identify required tools and special equipment • Select the type and size of pipe required • Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures • Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment • Assemble and install valves and fittings • Install, repair, and maintain water treatment equipment, piping, and controls • Install, repair, and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping systems • Install, repair, and maintain sinks, tubs, and toilets • Install, repair, and maintain water heaters and conditioners • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances, and trim • Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks • Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures • Apply all codes to installations, repairs, and maintenance • Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met • Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded • Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes • Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements Qualifications: • Ability to drive a company service truck safely at all times and to maintain a clean driving record • Strong analytical and problems solving skills • Ability to make sound business decisions • Excellent written, verbal communication, and listening skills • Excellent time management skills • Ability to sell services to customers in an effective and satisfactory manner; assist the customer in choosing the best service option and products and strive to win referrals and repeat business • Ability to maintain a clean, organized job site • Ability to maintain a well-inventoried truck • Honesty and trustworthiness in dealing with customers • Demonstrate sound work ethic • Ability to work a varying schedule depending on the company’s needs; work off-shift with minimal notice if required, including holidays and weekends • Ability to participate in training sessions and company meetings • Accuracy and timely invoicing, timesheets other daily paperwork Position Highlights: • Competitive wages • Fully stocked, take-home company truck, EZ pass, gas card, and cellphone.
