Key Responsibilities: • Install and manage drain-waste-vent (DWV) systems, water lines, tub sets, gas line installations, and pump installations following code and our high-quality standards. • Thoroughly understand and consistently apply state plumbing codes across all projects. • Interpret job site prints and builder start packets accurately. • Lead and mentor apprentices, providing guidance, feedback, and support for their development. • Prepare for each project by organizing materials and taking necessary walk-throughs to ensure a thorough understanding of all aspects involved. • Maintain a clean and organized job site and vehicle while effectively managing materials. • Exhibit excellent attendance and punctuality while adhering to the work schedule. • Commit to safety and quality standards in all work performed. • Embrace and uphold our company core values through pride in workmanship and quality completion of tasks. • Foster positive relationships with team members and other trades on site. • Communicate effectively with the superintendent and team daily. • Complete essential paperwork promptly, including time sheets, job folders, and punch lists. Qualifications: • Strong work ethic and motivation. • Excellent verbal communication skills. • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operational instructions, and blueprints. • Critical thinking skills and ability to solve problems independently. • High school diploma or GED is required. • A valid driver’s license is necessary. • Must obtain apprentice licensing in relevant states. Work Environment: • Work in various weather conditions including rain, snow, wind, and heat. • Exposure to loud noises and potential hazards such as fumes, electrical shock risks, and vibrations. • Must perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 pounds regularly. The position of Plumber I is critical to learning the plumbing trade and steadily improving both quality and speed over time.
