The Plumber Foreman supervises the installation, maintenance and repair of all plumbing systems and their related appurtenances. This person will require knowledge of plumbing piping systems and the related special systems found in hospitals, kitchens and mechanical rooms, as well as the related underground drainage and water distribution systems; also knowledge of the fabrication of related piping and the various materials and applicable joining methods. This person will have an understanding of the State plumbing codes, as well as the ability to understand and review architectural drawings and the related mechanical drawings; have the ability to make material take offs in the time allotments to complete projects , make job assignments, adjust schedules to maintain manpower levels, and inspect and check the work of the plumbers. Foreman will report to the Superintendent and/or Project Manager and assist in preparation of estimates and scope of work statement, maintain records, manage a crew of 2 – 15 persons and be responsible for the adherence to work rules and policies by the craftsmen assigned to his crew. Duties and Responsibilities: • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings; knowledge of mathematics, formulas, and design ability of related piping systems. • Must be able to select material and techniques for fabrication based on the job conditions and type of service being provided.
