Job Description Supports resort operations by performing plumbing tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. Individual must possess and adhere to the following core values: • Integrity – Doing what’s right when no one is looking • Passion – Creating positive impact • Work Ethic – Having pride in your work As a Trades I - Plumber, you will: • Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management. • Able to execute daily tasks and assigned projects in plumbing systems and support other trades. • Advanced knowledge of plumbing systems operation, installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements. • Expert ability to install residential-type water fixtures such as toilets, faucets, valves, water heaters, and appliances. • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on water heaters and residential and commercial pumping systems. • Lead projects in the installation of preliminary plumbing connections for domestic, sanitary, stormwater, and fire safety systems. • Expert ability to repair leaks and/or install piping using CPVC, PVC, PEX, copper, cast iron, and black steel. • Proficient in the use of pro-press fittings, no-hub couplings, copper soldering, and using PVC solvents as applicable. • Ability to conduct leak testing on pressurized systems and open ventilation. • Ability to read and interpret technical data and operation and maintenance manuals. • Actively participate in the procurement and inventory process to ensure materials and tools are on-site for the job. • Ability to operate resort operations devices and software effectively (HotSOS). • Communicates professionally via radios, phones, emails, and verbal communications. • Performs maintenance and cleaning tasks as requested by resort management. • Uses hand, electrical, and battery-operated tools, and/or any other pertinent tools required for the job safely. • Ability to work using ladders, scaffolds, lifts, dust masks, and in confined/narrow spaces. • Must have the ability to follow safety guidelines and practices. • Recognizes and identifies potential hazards on the property. • Ability to communicate and interpret guest needs positively leading to resolutions. • Must comply with all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures. • Must always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, dress, and professional behavior. • Other tasks assigned by resort operations management. Qualifications • High school diploma required. • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment. • Technical certification or plumbing license. • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license as required by the resort. • Written and verbal communication in English is expected. • Demonstrate enthusiasm, self-motivation, with attention to detail. • Strong communication skills required to excel in interactions with guests and colleagues. • Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines. • Regularly, the team member must lift, move, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds. • Must communicate effectively with supervisors and resort leadership. Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled Plumbing Foremen with a minimum of 6 years plumbing experience specific to new construction of medical facilities or commercial. The Plumber Foreman supervises the installation, maintenance and repair of all plumbing systems and their related appurtenances. This person will require knowledge of plumbing piping systems and the related special systems found in hospitals, kitchens and mechanical rooms, as well as the related underground drainage and water distribution systems; also knowledge of the fabrication of related piping and the various materials and applicable joining methods. This person will have an understanding of the State plumbing codes, as well as the ability to understand and review architectural drawings and the related mechanical drawings; have the ability to make material take offs in the time allotments to complete projects , make job assignments, adjust schedules to maintain manpower levels, and inspect and check the work of the plumbers. Foreman will report to the Superintendent and/or Project Manager and assist in preparation of estimates and scope of work statement, maintain records, manage a crew of 2 – 15 persons and be responsible for the adherence to work rules and policies by the craftsmen assigned to his crew. Duties and Responsibilities: • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings; knowledge of mathematics, formulas, and design ability of related piping systems. • Must be able to select material and techniques for fabrication based on the job conditions and type of service being provided. Responsible for seeing that crew is following appropriate procedures during the course of the work. • Inspect the work site to determine methods of installation; supplies tools and the level of manpower needed to successfully complete the work. • Coordinate and communicate effectively the activities of the plumbers to coincide with those of other crafts as required. • May be required to enter sewer manholes as well as sewage ejector basins, etc.; pick up 50 lbs., crawl into pipe shafts and ceiling areas as well as ability to work on high ladders and scaffolding. • Must possess own personal hand tools necessary to complete a designated project and can demonstrate proper and safe use of tools and related equipment. Requirements: • 6 years’ field experience specific to commercial construction. • Minimum OSHA certification 10 hours. • Must possess a current valid driver’s license. • Flexibility for travel and working overtime/weekends, as required.
