Our Values Include • Safety: The safety of our employees, suppliers and clients is our top priority • Collaboration: Creating true partnerships with our clients and service providers • Leadership: Improving project performance through the application of best practices • Accountability: Being accountable to our clients for every aspect of engagement • Client Satisfaction: Delivering 100% client satisfaction on every project • Integrity: Open and clear communication in every aspect of our business Location: Wenatchee, WA Type of Employment: Contract Job ID# 6248 Role & Responsibilities • * Supervise union and non-union pipefitters and welders working on high-pressure hydro systems. • Assign daily tasks, ensure proper use of drawings/specs, and monitor productivity and safety compliance. • Oversee the layout, cutting, threading, grooving, welding, and bolting of pipes made from carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper-nickel alloys. • Supervise fitting of flanges, valves, couplings, gaskets, strainers, and supports per ASME B31.1 (Power Piping) or B31.3 standards. • Support installation of lube oil piping, water cooling systems for generators and turbines, hydraulic piping for wicket gates and gateshoots, and embedded conduit systems. • Coordinate tie-ins to main penstock and wicket gate assemblies using precision alignment techniques. • Perform dimensional inspections, fit-up verification, and final installation reviews. • Verify hydrostatic or pneumatic pressure testing procedures. Collaborate with GE Vernova quality teams and third-party inspectors. • Enforce jobsite safety protocols in accordance with OSHA 1926 Subpart J (Welding & Cutting) and confined space standards. • Lead daily toolbox talks, conduct JHA reviews, and stop work for unsafe conditions. • Report progress and delays to project managers. Coordinate with GE engineering teams for RFI resolution and field change requests. • Track material usage, work orders, and redline updates to piping isometrics and P&IDs. Qualifications / Requirements: • * 6+ years in pipefitting, with at least 3 in a supervisory capacity on industrial or heavy civil infrastructure projects. • Prior experience on dam, hydroelectric, or power plant projects strongly preferred. • Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, weld maps, spool sheets, and equipment layout drawings. • Familiarity with precision alignment tools, pipe beveling machines, torquing equipment, and hydro-test kits. • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety • First Aid/CPR • ASME Section IX welding/fitting knowledge • NCCER Pipefitting or similar trade certification • High school diploma or GED required. Journeyman Pipefitter certification or completion of a union apprenticeship program preferred.
