Commercial/Industrial Foreman - Pipefitter

Supervises, coordinates, inspects and performs the assembly, installation and repair of components, subsystems and systems for the piping trade during the construction, tenant finish-out or remodel of commercial buildings and industrial facilities. Duties • Prepares material take-offs, layout appropriate systems and make isometric and schematic sketches from blueprints, specifications, submittals and job orders. • Participates in job planning for work packages, manage construction/manufacturing schedules, man hour needs and ensures appropriate staffing based on knowledge of equipment/tools. • Coaches, mentors, and provides guidance to craft workers (piping trade). Schedules and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers and operation of equipment and machinery. Verifies all staff certifications when scheduling personnel on a project. • Inspects work in progress and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications. • Eliminates construction and job site hazards and perform required safety observations. • Coordinates placement and storage of materials, tools and supplies to support the construction plan. Assists in maintaining assigned tool inventory. • Verifies that delivered materials and equipment match approved submittals. • As required, works with tools to meet construction schedules or other demands. • Identifies conflicts or need for clarification in contract documents. • Performs other duties as required. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Technical training or Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred. 5-7 years of experience as a Foreman Pipefitter. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines. Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems. Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints. Fabrication Shop Pipe Fitter - Local

Position: Fabrication Shop Pipe Fitter - Local Only PRIMARY FUNCTION: Work under the direction of a Foreman. Layout, install, maintain, and repair all types of piping systems for maintenance, tank, and new construction. The individual must possess a high level of skill in the industrial maintenance, turnaround, construction, or mechanical environment. Looking for locals only; no travel or per diem. TYPICAL DUTIES: • Support the company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values". • Represent the company with high moral standards and adhere to the "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics". • Receive and understand instructions and work from prints regarding assignments. • Interpret drawings and sketches; plan work procedures and select materials according to standards. • Lay out work, calculate dimensions, and make sketches of piping systems as needed. • Set up and operate bending, threading, and cutoff equipment; use hand tools or torch to shape, prepare, and fabricate pipes. • Assemble and test piping components. • Prepare pipes for welded or special joints. • Install hangers and supports. • Handle materials, equipment, and tools to and from the job site and shop. • Report on work performed. • Identify safety hazards and take corrective actions. • Perform duties with a standard of accuracy (Quality Control). • Work from drawings and blueprints as required. • Work independently after proper direction from a foreman, leading helpers and laborers safely. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: • Minimum of four (4) years in refinery maintenance, turnaround, or construction. • Knowledge of basic hand tools; ability to pass Pipefitter Skills Test at or above 70% or NCCER certification. • Complete Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training, and site-specific training. • Maintain an active drug testing program status. • Pass background check; TWIC & HHFT cards preferred. The typical pay range in Washington is $34.88 to $46.52 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
