Shop Pipefitter – Arizona Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Shop Pipefitter to join our fabrication team in Arizona. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of takeoffs, isometric drawings, spool drawings, and maps, along with hands-on experience fabricating with buttweld, threaded, and grooved piping systems. This role requires precision, independence, and the ability to calculate pipe dimensions for high-quality fabrication work with stainless steel and carbon steel piping/tubing. A strong focus on quality assurance, quality control (QA/QC), and upholding company safety standards is essential to ensure all work meets industry regulations and project specifications. Responsibilities • Read and interpret isometric and spool drawings, maps, and takeoffs for pipe fabrication. • Fabricate piping systems using stainless steel and carbon steel piping/tubing, along with buttweld, threaded, and grooved techniques. • Perform accurate layout, cutting, fitting, and assembly of pipes and components. • Calculate pipe dimensions, cut lengths, and angles to ensure precise fit and high-quality fabrication. • Apply quality assurance and quality control measures to all fabrication processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. • Inspect completed work for accuracy, weld quality, and dimensional tolerances before release. • Uphold company safety standards by following OSHA guidelines, using required PPE, and promoting a safe work environment in the shop. • Document fabrication, inspection, and safety activities as required for QA/QC and safety compliance tracking. • Collaborate with supervisors, QA/QC personnel, and project managers to ensure deadlines, quality expectations, and safety requirements are consistently met. • Work independently to complete shop fabrication tasks with minimal supervision.
