Chimney Technician

Job Posting: Chimney Technician Overview Kronquist Masonry is seeking a skilled Chimney Technician to operate from our company van, interact with customers directly, perform chimney cleaning and inspections and manage chimney projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with chimney inspections, sweeps, repairs, new installations, and wood stove/fireplace work. This is a field-based role requiring leadership of projects, strong craftsmanship, and excellent communication. Responsibilities Operate and maintain company van with proper safety and logistics. Interact with customers professionally, assess needs, and communicate solutions clearly. Perform chimney inspections and chimney sweeps. Carry out repairs on chimneys, rebuilds, and new installations. Install or service wood stoves and fireplaces as required. Rebuild and restore masonry components (brick, block, and stone). Set up and manage scaffolding; ensure safety protocols are followed. Lead projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and quality control. Coordinate with customers, schedule, and document work performed. Maintain tools, materials, and safety equipment; report any issues promptly. Ensure compliance with local codes and industry standards. Represent the company professionally in appearance, communication, and conduct. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in masonry-related chimney work (brick, block, stone). Proficient in laying brick, block, and stone to restore or construct chimneys. Experience with chimney inspections, sweeps, repairs, and new installations. Ability to work on wood stoves and fireplaces as part of service offerings. Comfort with setting up scaffolding and managing job sites. Strong project leadership to run jobs from start to finish. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Representable appearance and professional demeanor. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Safety-conscious mindset; ability to follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines as applicable.
