Commercial Construction Superintendent

Construction Site Superintendent Job Summary Purcell Construction is seeking a Construction Site Superintendent that will manage and coordinate all on-site activities during the construction phase of a project. This involves working closely with the Construction Project Manager, Owners Representatives, Subcontractors, Quality Control Manager and Safety Director. The scale of projects we undertake can range from $5 million to $75+ million. If you are a highly motivated individual, with a passion for building, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities • Serve as the overall on-site supervisor for all aspects of construction including, but not limited to, mobilizing, layout and scheduling of work, coordinating field labor resources, monitoring subcontractors and their work, and coordinating material suppliers ensuring timely deliveries. • Work in conjunction with the Contractor's Quality Control Manager to ensure compliance with technical specifications, contract and quality requirements. • Responsibility for on-site production and scheduling of work to ensure project meets schedule. • Serve as the sole point of contact for the Project Manager on all matters related to on-site construction activities. • Coordination of all job meetings and responsibility for monitoring and enforcing safety compliance on the project. Ensure cleanliness and safety of project site at all times. • Deliver projects that exemplify high standards of quality and exceptional value while conforming to project design criteria and product specifications. • Schedule and/or coordinate all trade work and deliveries to the site. • Ensure construction is performed in accordance with quality standards, contract requirements and schedule. • Review and submit weekly time sheets for employees on site. • Schedule and monitor subcontractor completion of all punch list work. • Ensure all inspections and occupancy permits are completed. Requirements/Qualifications • Construction knowledge must include a minimum of ten (10) years of on-site supervisory construction experience on commercial construction projects ranging in size from $5 million to $50 million dollars. • Must be able to work within a team structure and be prepared to take a leadership role • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam • Must be able to read and interpret a construction project schedule and assist the Project Manager in updating the schedule regularly. • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision and manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines on a routine basis. • Must be detailed, assertive, team-oriented, and results-driven. • Must maintain professionalism in all day to day interactions, particularly when interfacing with key project stakeholders, Owners, and designers. • Must have OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training Certification. • Must have First Aid and CPR Certification. • Valid driver's license required.
