Bricklayer Apprentice SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Bricklayer Apprentice . RESPONSIBILITIES A. Handle bags of sand, grout, lime, and cement B. Transport and distribute masonry as needed throughout jobsite C. Erect and dismantle of all scaffolding D. Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary E. Spread mortar for base and binder for block, brick, or stone F. Apply mortar to and set block, brick, or stone G. Level, align, and embed block, brick, or stone in mortar H. Remove excess mortar and finish seam using pointing tool or trowel I. Break block, brick, or stones to fit in smaller areas J. Determine horizontal and vertical alignment of courses using plumbbob, gaugeline, and level K. Provide leadership to other team members and apprentices by displaying resourcefulness, starting work habits, and creativity in problem solving based on information and judgment L. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels M.
