In this role, you will be required to read and interpret plans, collaborate with management and production crew to cut or shape stone, and fix stones according to structural plans. To ensure success, you should have excellent craftsmanship skills, a good eye for detail, and be able to visualize the final stone structure before the first cut is made and design accordingly. STONEMASON RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Must be able to follow directions. 2 Constructing different monuments and sample boards needed to display company products 3. Mixing grout and cement. 4. Cutting and shaping stones to desired dimensions. 5. Laying stones according to plans or project specifications. 6. Operating stone saws, splitters, and heavy machinery to move stones. 7. Smoothing and polishing stones and concrete 8. Replacing defective or missing stones on walls and structures STONEMASON REQUIREMENTS: 1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred, with basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. 2. 2+ years working as a Stonemason in construction or architectural design Preferred 3. Ability to visualize and implement aesthetic patterns into a construction design. 4. Familiarity with stone cutting, shaping, and binding tools. 5. Physically strong and able to manipulate heavy objects. 6. Ability to work outdoors and in noisy areas for extended periods of time. TOOLS REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB: Normal Construction Hand Tools, Tape Measure, Rock Hammer, Chisel, Power Tools (drill, saw, air saw, chop saw). PERFORMANCE STANDARDS 1.
