Priority Maintenance and Management fills the niche in between what homeowners and investment property owners can do (or will do) do for themselves and what large GC outfits or even tradesmen are too busy to do. We do everything from the light switch your grandma cant get anyone to come look at; all the way to single family dream remodels, and multi-unit apartment building gut outs. Because we fill a niche that's only occupied by a few one-guy-and-his-truck competitors, and because we also have a property management arm (as well as agreements with other local property management companies for their maintenance needs) the work is reliable, even in the winter. We're turning away profitable work so we're looking to add 10 more positions by the end of the spring. We get a lot of applicants but we want to be sure that we staff up with the kind of A player that everyone wants to work with so BOTH skill AND character matters. Description We have multiple positions open in Drywall and other Interior Finishes, We do comprehensive remodels water damage restoration, and unusual projects (museum exhibits, historic matching/restoration, high tech finishes, etc) so all disciplines are appreciated. We have different teams that focus on different lines of business so we'll find the spot that's the most interesting to you. High support, High Flexibility, Manageable stress - Be treated with respect, like a person should be, and not a warm-body to be used up. Also, We're adding to our list of subtractors if you prefer to be 1099. (Same initial application and interview process - established GC Business, WC Insurance required, GC Lic, Business Lic required) Compensation includes 20-27$ / hr Depending on Experience and Qualifications and a 90 day probationary period. Performance reviews, labor market / cost of living adjustments and performance adjustments every 6 months. (more on comp. below). Position Overview Join our dynamic team, and work on a diverse area of small to medium size projects ranging from dream kitchen redo's, retail space renovations, water restoration, complete investment property gut outs, and rental property refreshes. While we have a relaxed work environment this role demands professionalism both in self-direction high integrity communication and professional but limited interaction with clients and tenants. You'll undertake various general contracting and handyman tasks and be offered a chance to learn on the job independently and with the aid of other team members. We’ll endeavor to focus your work on your skill set, preferred type of project, and what you’d like to both learn and teach fellow crew members. Key Responsibilities (We don’t expect you to know everything - We’re looking for someone who knows many things decently, and one or two things expertly, and willing to learn/help with the things they don’t know) • Expertly handle drywall installation and finishing – showcase your craftsmanship in making walls flawless. New and existing Drywall. Hanging, Taping, Texture, Body Work etc, • Show the eager young guys how to do it. As the crew member with the drywall specialty you're in a position to create a crew that operates exactly as you guide them for that portion of the project. • Other Carpentry skills are used for other aspects of the job and you’ll work with a team to accomplish those tasks. Compensation: • 20-27$/hr Depending on Experience / Skills • Paid for Travel Time to the Job from the Office. • Set Paid Holidays for New Years Day, President’s Day, St. Patrick's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth,. 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, • 5 Days additional PTO after 1st year and 10 days the 2nd year for full time • Flexible Schedule - Work with the Contracting Director to set a schedule that works around your family, school, or medical needs • 5% match on 401(k) • IHCRA Health Care Reimbursement Agreement roughly $300/mo • Some overtime available • Some Emergency After Hours bonus pay available • Mileage reimbursement at $0.675/mi Qualifications: • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable. • Minimum 3 years Prior experience in some remodeling, construction, maintenance, or specialty trade. • Proficient in using a variety of small and hand tools. • Understanding of common personal and workplace safety protocols. • Comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding. • Capable of lifting over 50 pounds. • Punctual, to an agreed upon full-time schedule. • Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to manage time effectively. • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively. • Must pass pre-employment screenings and a drug test for illegal substances. • Basic computer skills including email, text messaging Preferred Skills (Some of these might qualify you for a leadership or coordination position track) • We have a full shop, warehouse, and vehicle fleet but it's a plus if you have your own tools, truck etc. • CMRT or WRT Certification is a plus. • Software assisted Estimating Experience • Crew foreman Experience. • Property Inspection Experience • Q/A of Construction Experience Who you'll work for - Not your average General Contractor.
