Requirements: • valid drivers license and reliable transportation • at least 3 years experience laying brick block and stone • a good attitude and team mentality Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Brick & Block Work: Expertly lay bricks and blocks, ensuring adherence to commercial code requirements and maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship. • Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy in layout and height. • Efficiency: Maintain a steady pace with the team to meet project timelines and quality expectations. • Elevator Shafts & Codes: Execute complex installations such as elevator shafts while strictly adhering to commercial building codes and regulations. • Scaffolding & Heights: Build, use, and work safely on scaffolding and lifts, maintaining compliance with safety protocols. • Tool Management: Bring and utilize personal mason hand tools effectively for all tasks. • Mortar & Grout Work: Mix mortar or grout and apply evenly to surfaces, ensuring a strong bond and removing excess material. • Cutting & Positioning: Use cutting and sawing techniques to shape bricks and blocks, aligning materials to achieve desired patterns or structural integrity. • Repair & Replace: Identify and repair or replace damaged materials as needed. • Safety Compliance: Enforce and adhere to all safety practices and regulations on job sites. An established, family oriented, strong home exterior company is seeking candidates to fill a positions of siding, window, and decking installers for our crews. We have year around work and focus strongly on taking care of our employees and their families with perks and benefits. Our jobs are generally within driving distance of the Kalamazoo, and we start at the job rather than at the office on a daily basis. We work as a crew (team) on all our projects. Individual needs to have knowledge about measuring, angle reading, safety, using power tools, and be able to work on picks and ladders. We work with 5-6 person crews, therefore this person should have people skills that including adjusting with different employee personalities and beliefs, and be able to communicate with homeowners and suppliers. Our experiences are with vinyl siding, steel, Hardie Board cement board siding, and LP smart side and PVC for our siding. We do wood and composite decking. Replacement and new construction windows and door installs. All trailers and power tools are supplied by the employer. Hand tools are required by employees.
