Job Description • Work with team-members building and installing construction projects such as but not limited to framing, layout, demolition, drywall, finish carpentry, concrete, site work, drainage work, grading and other tasks. • Safely operate various tools and equipment as needed. Site Manager, MEP

Overview MEP Site Manger studies the mechanical, electrical, piping, plumbing and fire protection specifications to plan procedures for construction on the basis of start and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction. WHAT WE EXPECT (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) • Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. • Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager. • Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule. Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work, and assist in complete project estimate. Individual poses the ability to assist in coordination/management of all trades throughout build process. • Assist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices. • Assist in the preparation of various reports, i.e. cost to complete, monthly billings and status reports. • Review all drawings, i.e. P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural, etc. when they are issued to the field and coordinate and maintain a current set at all times. • Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders to be reviewed by MEP Project Manager. • Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project. • Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion. • Schedule work, including subcontractors. • Assist in the productivity and quantity tracking of the subcontractors installed work. • Determine materials, equipment and tools needed. • Secure appropriate supply sources. • Set up and close out construction site. • Serve as on-site Safety Officer when one is not specifically assigned to the project. And also, will be required to participate in the company's safety portion of the QMS program. • Responsible for procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules. • Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specification, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays. • Individual will consult with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances within the work force. • Prepares or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports and/or direction from MEP Project Manager. • Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance to company, industry standard, and job specifications. • Will insure the company QMS program is used and maintained in accordance to company standards. Individual will be able to generate reports and traceability for continuous improvement. • Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray's safety program on site. • Other duties may be assigned. WHO WE WANT (REQUIREMENTS) • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school AND a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience OR a minimum 15 years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree. • Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired. • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills. • Must be able to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents. • Strong people management skills. • Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and smartphones. • MS project and other scheduling software a plus. • Must possess a strong work ethic and be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development. • Must posses the ability to think for his/herself and be able to manage without direction having to be given. This position requires travel as our projects are scattered throughout the United States and, in some cases outside of the U.S..
