Union Bid Period: 6/26/2025 – 7/2/2025 Job Description Summary: Perform skilled work involving the installation, maintenance and repair of masonry structure and road surfaces. Key Responsibilities: Set forms, embed necessary reinforcing materials, pour and finish concrete, asphalt or other surfaces to specified textures. Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds. Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools or power tools. Apply curing compounds to protect concrete after finishing. Monitor the effects of weather and site conditions on the curing process. Patch voids and use chisels, grinders, and power tools to repair finished concrete. Break up existing masonry structure using power and hand tools. Install tile on floors and other areas following design specifications. Prepare surface for tiling by cleaning, filling holes with appropriate material and spreading adhesive base. Set up and dismantle scaffolding and staging, install drain tiles, waterproofs underground masonry surfaces, apply sealants, cut openings and utility access holes in masonry surface as required. Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Shift 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday Minimum Qualifications • A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. • Experience sufficient to qualify as a journey level, with a minimum of four years of actual work in the trade, including apprentice or vocational training. • A valid driver’s license may be required. • Ability on a daily basis to grasp, lift, carry and set down heavy (50-75 lbs.), climb and work from ladders, scaffolding and staging. Preferred Qualifications Must possess a valid driver’s license, which will allow legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri.
