Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques and the ability to read blueprints accurately. The Brick Mason will work collaboratively with other tradespeople on-site to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications • Measure, cut, and shape bricks, blocks, or other materials for construction projects. • Lay bricks or blocks in accordance with established patterns and specifications. • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. • Perform construction estimating to assess material needs and project timelines. • Collaborate with carpenters for frame carpentry and trim carpentry tasks as needed. • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations on the construction site. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Experience • Proven experience as a Brick Mason or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred. • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings is essential. • Familiarity with construction estimating practices is advantageous. • Experience with frame carpentry, trim carpentry, tile laying, roofing, and using both hand tools and power tools is highly desirable. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team on various construction projects.
