Brick Mason Laborer

Overview Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking dedicated Mason Tenders to support our construction team on various projects. This role involves assisting masons in preparing and maintaining construction sites, handling materials, and ensuring the smooth progression of masonry-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and experience working on construction sites. Prior knowledge of masonry techniques and tools is highly valued. Experience operating an all-terrain forklift, lull, etc is a huge PLUS. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in diverse areas such as concrete forming, rebar installation, and restoration work. Mason Tender Duties • Assist masons with concrete forming, finishing, and rebar installation to ensure project specifications are met • Handle hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently • Prepare construction sites by organizing materials and setting up scaffolding or formwork • Aid in plastering, stucco application, caulking, and trim carpentry tasks as needed • Operate or assist with the operation of heavy machinery such as forklifts or lulls when trained • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency on site • Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure compliance with OSHA standards Mason Tender Qualifications • Prior experience working on commercial construction sites is preferred, especially in masonry or related trades • Knowledge of concrete finishing, hardscape construction, and restoration projects is advantageous • Standard PPE including muck boots and safety glasses • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery is desirable • Experience in framing carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, or plastering is a plus • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely after training is beneficial • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction environments is essential Mason Tender Compensation/Benefits • $23-$25/hr (W-2) • Weekly direct deposit • PTO/holidays • Comprehensive medical/dental insurance Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off Application Question(s): • Do you have any experience operating an all-terrain forklift or lull?
