Apply today! • Excellent Benefits • 2nd Chance Employer • Bonus Referral Program • Paid Time Off Manual Machinist1 Job Duties: • Manual Machinist1 sets up and operates various machine ship machines, such as manual lathes, grinders, milling machines, drill press, power tools, and similar machine tools. Performs maintenance and repair of any machinery. Places various stock and material into and out of machines and storage areas. • Manual Machinist1 works from detailed blueprints, templates, and sketches. Work involves exacting and at times difficult machine setups and operations to rough and finish machine form tools, holders, cutting tools, and parts for dies, jigs, fixtures, and similar tooling working to close tolerances • Uses chucks, clamps, fixtures, and other holding devices to secure work and to prevent moving, springing, or distortion. Aligns work to took and detects and eliminates run out or misalignment using various precision measuring instruments such as scales, micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers. • Selects speeds, feed, and tooling in relationship to the type of material, finish requirements, and job applications. Replaces dulled tools and grind ordinary tools as necessary. Selects, mounts, and balances grinding wheels, dress wheels for specific job requirements. • Manual Machinist1 checks and inspects work to hold close tolerances and insure adherence to specifications. • Performs necessary machine work including dismantling, repairing, and reassembling of light and heavy machinery, working from blueprints and using hand tools, calipers, and micrometers. • Disassembles defective damaged parts, using hand tools: disassemble propulsion and steering components, propellers, propeller shafts, rudders, and associated bearings and determines usable components and reassembles. • Able to weld (mig and/or stick) The Manual Machinist1 assigned to this position must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to perform the following essential functions: • Comprehend blueprints, templates, and sketches Materials Safety Data Sheets. • Enter and work in internally confined spaces. • Manipulate and transport loads of up to 75 pounds over distances of up to 100 feet, approximately 3 times during each 8 hour shift. • Position self while manipulating objects of various weights, approximately 30-40 times during 8 hour shift. • Manipulate and operate all machines and hand/power tools essential to the performance of the position of Mechanic such as: • Engine Lathes Vertical Boring Mill Horizontal Boring Mill • Shaper Micrometers Clamps Drill Press Tool Grinders • Hydraulic Press Hand tools Calipers • Voltmeter Chucks National Maintenance & Repair of Kentucky, Inc. is an EEOC Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Referral program • Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person

In addition, this role may package/band, weigh, and load/unload material from machines and stage material in a timely and accurate manner. This Material Handler is responsible for assembling parts, setting up machines for use as well as performing multiple tasks throughout the day to ensure safe and quality production. This position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to perform the duties to the highest standard. Desired Experience • Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand on your feet for 8 hrs a day • Must have good hand-eye coordination • Mechanical aptitude a plus, but not required • Competent in basic math and computer skills • Must be able to handle small parts • Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures • Ability to recognize quality issues and problems – detect defects • Must be able to read, comprehend and follow detailed instructions on productions and understand English • Must be able to read and understand bill of material and or production order • Must be able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes • Must follow all safety policies and procedures • Must have good safety awareness and efficiency skills • Oral and written communication skills – including legible writing • Required OSHA safety training • Must have valid driver’s license Responsibilities • Moves material with hands by assembling, producing, finishing, or packaging the customer product. • May be responsible for basic test line operation. • Package finished product for shipment. • Follows bill of material in order to match product with proper packaging and skidding. • May perform finishing duties. • Performs multiple tasks to ensure ongoing machine operation. • Performs miscellaneous tasks throughout plant to ensure safe, efficient and quality production of materials. • May perform housekeeping duties within the plant when necessary. • Other duties as assigned.
