What you’ll do: • Safely operate various machines throughout machine shop which includes but is not limited to lathes, mills, welders, presses and saws. • Transport materials to appropriate workstation by utilizing overhead crane. • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts to transport materials to/from machine shop. • Must be able to read/comprehend technical documents and blueprints to allow for proper production of materials. • Perform manual MIG, TIG and stick welding. • Create custom materials such as gaskets to ensure proper sealing of components. • Be able to access various vessel locations to perform measurements/inspections of driveline components. • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all machines. • Perform basic cleaning duties and maintain an orderly shop.
