CNC Lathe Machinist

Company DescriptionMM&D specializes in Injection Molds and Design but is fully capable of designing and manufacturing Casting Dies and Trim Tools, Extrusion Dies, Assembly Machines, Stamping Dies, and Precision Replacement Tooling. Our team can custom design the mold for you from concept with our modeling capability, or even help you with rebuilding and repairing a die that has been in production for years. 3rd Shift - Machine Operator

The Pultrusion Utility Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks in the production and MAT areas of pultrusion. The role includes working as part of a team to support pultrusion operations, mixing resin, cutting mats, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This position offers $19.90/hr plus a $2 shift differential for the 3rd shift. The schedule includes 12-hour shifts, alternating between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next. Primary Responsibilities: • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding hazardous materials storage and disposal in the Haz Mat area. • Mix resin and deliver it to the machines. • Cut mats and deliver to machines. • Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on resin room and mat cutter. • Report yield and scrap of cut material to department manager. • Deliver doffs to creel and maintain creel by tying in doffs as needed. • Supply operating materials such as gloves, towels, and acetone to operators. • Change out resin buckets. • Operate powered equipment and perform TPM on saws, dust collectors, etc. • Perform repetitive job tasks and maintain regular attendance. • Work flexible hours, including overtime. • Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements. • Maintain good housekeeping standards. • Follow all safety policies and procedures. Requirements: • No PLC experience is needed. • Candidates should have hands-on experience adjusting machine settings. • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Machine operation experience is essential. (2+ years). • Familiarity with working on a variety of machines. Preferred Backgrounds: • Maintenance Technician experience, particularly with troubleshooting or setting up machines. • Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus. • Pultrusion/Injection molding experience - a plus. • Experience with machine parts or automotive parts manufacturing machines. Exclusions: • Candidates with primarily food machine operation experience are not a fit. Required Education: • High school diploma or GED preferred. Location of this Position: Murray, KY, United States (On-site). Work Environment: • Noise levels require hearing protection in designated areas. • Safety glasses and other personal protective equipment are required. • Exposure to seasonal high temperatures and humidity. • Moderate to fast-paced work environment. • Frequent handling of glass and other product materials. • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and fiberglass materials, resin composites, and clean-up solvents.
