Job Title: Machinist (CNC and/or Manual Lathe) Reports To: The Machinist will report to the Production Manager Job Overview: The Machinist will complete assignments involving the set-up and operation of CNC and/or Manual Lathes. The Machinist will perform bore turn and basic machining tasks, and will provide machining services of oilfield connections that includes (but is not limited to) cutting and re-cutting connections to specification Responsibilities and Duties: · Works from blueprints, drawings, and verbal/written instructions to fabricate and/or repair a variety of machined components · Fabricates and modifies tools and equipment as needed · Measures and examines completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications · Cleans, lubricates, and maintains machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter · Utilizes measuring devices such as micrometers (OD, ID, depth and groove), calipers, height gages and indicator based gages to ensure the integrity of the parts being machined · Uses a variety of gages for API thread measurement including the following: Taper, Lead, Thread Height, Profile, MRP, Plug/Ring, and optical comparator in order to ensure the integrity of the parts being machined · Must have the ability to make all types of required machine/process adjustments, such as off- sets, tooling, fixturing, as well as the ability to set up machines · Must have the ability to perform and complete dimensional inspections by utilizing applicable gages, and to assist other machinists in dimensional inspections of parts when necessary to do so · Must be able to produce quality parts in a timely manner · Will conduct general cleaning, such as sweeping the floor around his/her assigned area, emptying large waste containers, moving/sorting material, etc. · Must be able to properly use cranes for overhead lifting purposes · Assists other machinists when necessary · Other duties as needed/assigned Qualifications: · High School Diploma/Equivalent preferred · 1-2 years’ experience with CNC and/or Manual machines preferred · Previous oilfield experience preferred · Previous Forklift experience preferred · Ability to perform general machine maintenance · Ability to walk and stand on concrete surfaces · Ability to stand for long periods of time, reaching, lifting, and bending · Lifting/pushing objects weighing over 50 lbs. on occasion · Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test · Must pass a pre-employment background check Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
