Adena- Commercial Carpenter Summary: The Carpenter will provide professional services while constructing, repairing building frameworks and structures, and interior finishing with a focus on details. Primary Job Responsibilities: • Installs doors, frames and hardware • Forms and pours concrete • Lays out and frames walls with wood or metal studs • Hangs and finishes drywall • Installs wall protection including FRP board, crash rails, corner guards, etc. • Installs acoustic ceilings • Installs cabinets, trim and other finish carpentry • Lays out and installs in-wall blocking • Installs roof blocking • Hangs toilet partitions and installs restroom accessories • Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment • Other duties as assigned PM21 Adena- Commercial Carpenter Desired Qualifications/Skills: • High School Diploma or GED required • 5+ years of carpenter experience • Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform carpenter duties • 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment • Ability to read building blueprints • Ability to utilize pertinent math skills • Good knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment along with safe use of the same • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may at times require overnight stays away from home • Ability to work at heights without fear including work on scaffolding and ladders • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency • Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions • Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust Equal Opportunity Employer
