Job Description O&M Manager - Wind Turbine Maintenance About The Site The O&M Manager will support a group of sites performing maintenance on GE Wind Turbines. The O&M Manager can work from any of the below site locations. • English Farms Energy Center is a 170.3 MW wind power generation facility located in Grinnell, IA utilizing GE 2.5-127 and GE 2.3-116 WTG turbine technology. • Upland Prairie Energy Center is a 299.3 MW wind power generation facility located in Spencer, IA utilizing GE 2.5-116 and GE 2.3-116 WTG turbine technology. • Golden Plains Energy Center is a 198.8 MW wind power generation facility located near Britt, IA utilizing GE 2.5-127 and GE 2.3-116 WTG turbine technology. • Richland is a 131MW wind power generation facility located in Storm Lake, IA utilizing GE 2.5-127and GE 2.3-116 WTG turbine technology. • Whispering Willow North Energy Center is a 199.9 MW wind power generation facility located Clear Lake, IA utilizing GE 2.5-127 and GE 2.3-116 WTG turbine technology. • Kossuth is a 150MW wind power generation facility located in Lu Verne, IA utilizing GE 2.8-127and GE 2.3-116 WTG turbine technology. Position Overview As an Operations & Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for managing the Maintenance activities at the six sites of the Alliant portfolio listed within. The successful candidate will be based out of one of the sites listed but will be expected to have a quarterly presence onsite at each location. Responsibilities • Manage all aspects of the day to day operation of the facility in a safe and environmentally sound manner. • Prepare and implement plant operating and maintenance procedures ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and Local requirements. • Recruit, select, train and manage plant operating, maintenance and administrative staff. • Prepare annual operating budgets and periodic status reports. • Interface and coordinate with local customers and suppliers. • Procure parts, materials, services and support resolution of technical issues. • Ensure compliance with all project safety, environmental and contractual responsibilities. • Provide a high level of professionalism and technical expertise. • Travel to each remote managed site on a routine and as needed basis. • Perform routine Quality Assurance checks of wind technician work. • Assist wind technicians from time to time in various wind turbine maintenance. Required Skills • High School diploma or equivalent. • A minimum of six (6) months of supervisory experience. • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. • Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet). • Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks. • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Education and/or Work Experience • Technical degree. • Experience in power generation facilities. • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or skilled trade environment. Base Pay Salary: $95,000.00 - $140,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 0% - 20% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
