The technician will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of wind turbine equipment, which includes a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Daily responsibilities will include participating in morning safety meetings, conducting inspections of equipment and tools, and engaging in Job Safety Analysis to maintain a safe working environment. The technician will climb wind towers to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair turbine equipment, which requires a strong understanding of the mechanical and electrical systems involved. This role also involves testing electrical components and systems, troubleshooting any malfunctions, and servicing underground transmission systems and wind field substations. The technician will follow maintenance manuals and standard operating procedures to perform necessary maintenance on turbine parts, ensuring that all work is documented through written and electronic progress reports.
