GE LOTO Certified Traveling Wind Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious GE LOTO Certified Technician to join our dynamic team at GEV Wind Power U.S. In this critical role, you will travel extensively across the country to wind farm sites, applying your expertise in Lockout/Tagout procedures to support blade repair operations on GE turbines. Your focus on safety, teamwork, and operational excellence will ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery in challenging environments. Job Responsibilities: • Travel 100% to wind farms throughout North America on an 8/1 rotation. • Perform blade LOTO duties for GE wind turbines in support of blade repair operations • Monitor confined space operations for internal blade repair work • Assist the Blade repair team, who is primarily responsible for all work completion, either at height or on the ground • May need to interface with the customer on site • Assist in the operation of the basket, rigging/de-rigging blade access platform, and perform tag-lining • Help the team solve problems related to the work scope • Assist in maintaining organized on-site supply inventory during repair operations • Miscellaneous operations support tasks as required by team leader • Provide quality customer service and site rules and pay attention to detail • Professional conduct both on and off site; care for company property and interests • Maintain personal, team and site safety • Be a team player for a diverse team We are ideally looking for technicians with the following skillset and training: • Must be able to successfully work in a fast-paced, team environment, regularly think critically and be a problem-solver • Must already have a current GE LOTO Certificate (NAM Blade LOTO, NAM Tech Essentials or RELC Tech Essentials) and be able to provide proof of a certification • Must be a GE Qualified Electrical Worker 1 • Must have, or will be trained in, GWO Basic Safety Training, OSHA 10, NFPA 70-E, Confined Space • Ability to safely and correctly use powered hand tools • Prefer knowledge of composite blade repair specifications and techniques (but not required) • Prefer ability to read complex technical drawings and processes • IT literate (email, internet, iPad) • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including by air and ground transportation, often on short notice, and to spend extended periods away from home at project sites. • Ability to drive or travel up to 11 hours per day when required. • Must be flexible for changes of scope and schedule • Ability to work well as a team and take guidance • Valid driver’s license, good MVR report, and must be 21 years of age or older to drive a company vehicle. • Must be able to meet the strenuous physical requirements of climbing ladders 2 or more times per day up to 300 feet/90 meters, bend, crawl, stoop and lift up to 75 pounds. • Ability to wear a respirator and work safely with protective equipment • Good vision (with corrective lenses if necessary) to perform detailed inspections, read instructions, and safely operate equipment. • US/Canadian citizens or legal to work in either country are eligible for the opportunity The following certifications are optional and considered a plus: • GWO BST (Basic Safety Training) – fire awareness, working at heights, manual handling, first aid • GWO BTT (Basic Technical Training) – electrical, hydraulic, mechanical • IRATA or SPRAT rope access experience and certification is a plus; certificate must be current, and candidate must be physically capable of performing rope access work safely. • OSHA 10 General Industry • GE NAM Blade LOTO certificate What are the perks of working with GEV Wind Power? • Health insurance, dental, vision, disability, life, 401(k) match • 12 days paid PTO and 11 paid holidays • Upskilling trusted GEV technicians via GEV Academy • Bespoke reporting system (time saving with training provided) • Streamlined communications for our technicians with regular Business and Project updates via GEV technician engagement platform • We listen to our technician needs and value their feedback (consistent technician feedback surveys) • Ongoing work for our top talent A little bit about us: A Career Enabling You to Make a Global Impact! Traveling Wind Troubleshooter Technician

GEV Wind Power is seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Troubleshooter Technician with comprehensive experience across multiple wind turbine platforms. This role is critical in ensuring the reliable operation of wind turbine generators through advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and team leadership.
