Job Opening: Solar & Wind Technician Join our growing team as a Solar & Wind Technician! We are seeking motivated individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to the renewable energy sector. While prior experience is preferred, it is not required. Must be able to work independently, as well as a team player. • *Key Responsibilities** • Installing and maintaining solar panels, mounting hardware, and connecting them to electrical systems. • Assemble an entire solar panel system, including racking and mounting equipment • Complete a site assessment by evaluating locations for optimal solar panel placement, by considering factors like sunlight, space, and structural integrity • Adhere to code compliance by ensuring all installations adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and electrical standards • Complete system testing by conducting tests and inspections to verify proper wiring, grounding, and system performance. • Perform routine maintenance and repairs • May have to troubleshoot issues or repair solar panels or wind turbines • Must be able to interact with customers and be able to explain the benefits of solar energy to clients, answer questions, and provide post installation support. • Must adhere to strict safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) • Teamwork and communication are a must as you will be collaborating with other team members, including electricians, construction workers, and project managers • Work safely on ladders and lifts • Lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds overhead • Utilize hand and power tools efficiently and effectively • *Required Skills and Qualifications** • Ability to work in various weather conditions • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn • Physical Stamina: ability to lift heavy objects, work at various heights, and perform physically demanding tasks • Technical Skills: Familiarity with hand and power tools, electrical meters, and basic electrical principles • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve installation and performance issues • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accurate measurements, wiring, and connections are completed • Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with clients and team members • Knowledge of Codes and Regulations: Understanding relevant electrical codes and safety regulations • *What We Offer** • Competitive Pay • On-the-job training and career growth opportunities • Opportunity for growth in a dynamic industry If you’re ready to make a difference and join a passionate team, apply today!
