Testing Required: Wind Technician Climbing and Lifting Assessment Job Summary Performs preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on wind turbines and related equipment, including inspections, operations, and repairs. Handles inspections, operations, and repairs, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment. Documents adverse turbine conditions and malfunctions and ensures adherence of health and safety procedures. Span of control: 0; individual contributor. Key Accountabilities • Performs inspections, operations and maintenance of wind turbine equipment • Identifies and recognizes when equipment and/or machinery is outside of normal operating limits • Maintains records of work performed and ensures precise measurements, a strict order of operations, and all safety procedures are completed • Follows company safety procedures to ensure all hazardous energy sources are isolated prior to performing work on equipment (e.g., lockout-tagout (LOTO), etc.) • Uses proper communication with coworkers to ensure duties are performed safely and effectively • Assists with warranty claim investigation and management • Responds to call-outs in accordance with pre-specified criteria • Basic understanding of equipment codes relative to the malfunctions to assist with resolution • Completes all internal requisite training/certification within designated time frames • Assists with development and revising operations and maintenance related procedures • Performs and maintains housekeeping standards and duties • Supports routine Preventive and Predictive Maintenance on all turbine systems • Supports Corrective Maintenance efforts on selected equipment when properly trained or supervised Qualifications This is a dual-track base requirement job; education and experience requirements can be satisfied through one of the following two options: High School diploma or GED with three years of relevant wind experience; OR Associate degree in a relevant field or Wind Certificate, inclusive of one year of relevant wind experience Additional Qualifications Experience with AC & DC electrical systems Experience with rigging, rotating equipment, shaft alignment, torqueing, mechanical drawings, electrical drawings Basic knowledge of wind turbine software systems and CMMS systems (ie. GE Toolbox and Wind SCADA, Maximo) Ability to maintain and assist with repair of all mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems of a turbine Ability to climb heights with tools and equipment, including turbine/tower ladders that may exceed 260 feet Ability to lift items including heavy equipment, parts, and tools that may weigh more than 50 pounds Ability to identify problems when a turbine performs abnormally Ability to meet attendance requirements Ability to travel to other locations Has valid Driver's License (NON CDL) Read the full posting.

What You Will Be Doing • Be a key member of the Sky Climber Renewables field workforce • Travel 100% on a rotational basis to wind projects throughout the U.S. • Perform LOTO procedures for Nordex Acciona wind turbines in support of blade or mechanical/electrical service operations • Conduct inspections, maintenance and repair of equipment • Climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet • Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds) • Follow specific verbal and written instructions to perform multi-brand wind turbine generator and associated equipment assembly, repair, replacement and maintenance • Complete and maintain required company and client documentation • Effectively prioritize and escalate technical issues to clients and supporting functions • Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work areas as required • Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the Sky Climber Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements (eg, Valid License, acceptable driving record) • Be exposed to high and low ambient temperatures while working outdoors • Maintain required training certifications for position held, including, not limited to: OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, CPR/AED, First Aid, Basic Safety, Basic Technical, Advanced Rescue • Perform other daily work requirements as directed by supervisors • Note: For safety compliance, wind technicians must weigh between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing, boots and standard personal equipment What Knowledge, Skills & Training You Will Bring • Nordex Acciona LOTO and maintenance experience • GWO (BST, BTT, ART) Certifications preferred • Twelve (12) months of wind industry technical experience preferred • Understanding of basic AC/DC circuits • Ability to verify basic electrical connections and schematics • Work that meets customer and company standards required of position and job, including following project schedules and Quality, Safety and Environment standards • Willingness to follow OSHA, client and company policies at all times • A professional appearance and positive attitude • Behavior demonstrating integrity and respect for fellow employees, clients and communities • Willingness and ability to work cooperatively or independently • Proactive communication (up and down) • Ability to produce reports, work order documents, and records, written neatly, legibly and completed correctly • Ability to work in a high-volume, multi-priority environments • Knowledge and basic skills operating various hand and power tools • Willingness and ability to work indoors or outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including blowing pollen, dust, and grasses • Ability to pass background check(s) and drug screening • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Additional Information - We Take Care of Our People As an international organization, diversity drives our identity.
