We are currently seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our 2nd-shift team! High Steel is seeking qualified welder/fabricators with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in either D1.1 or D1.5 welding. For those with only D1.1 experience, we offer classroom and on-the-job mentoring through High Steel University for experienced welders to gain their D1.5 certifications. 2nd shift operates four nights per week, Mon - Thurs 3PM - 1:30 AM. (Your standard work week ends on Fri 1:30 AM.) Coworkers must be flexible and available to work overtime as requested or per business demand. Shift premium for 3rd shift is 25% of your base salary! Welders / Fabricators are responsible for performing various fitting, layout, welding, finishing, grinding and related operations to assemble and fabricate various structural steel units, including bridges and other building products. Our next team-member will ideally possess the following educational and work qualifications: • A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required. High school or post-secondary coursework or degree in welding/fabrication highly preferred. • Demonstrated welding experience, including Stick, MIG, and/or Submerged Arc desired. • The ability to work from prints, specification tables and with adjustable layout and measuring instruments critical. • Must be able to pass the required welding certification test.
