Full time FIRST Shift, Monday - Friday (5:00am - 1:30pm) Full time benefits Starting wage dependent upon experience PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Weld various metal alloy parts and/or components using various weld techniques which may include but are not limited to spot TIG, MIG, fusion, hard face plug, oxyacetylene, and braze using gas, arc and/or braze welding processes to join, surface, fabricate or repair parts/sub-assemblies. *Read, interpret, and perform work instructions according to prescribed specifications in processes, layouts, blueprints, oral and written instructions, and/or work orders. • Layout and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies using rule, square or scribe templates. *Position parts/pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and/or hand tools. • Meet or exceed specified production rate for each process/operation. • Completion of necessary log sheets for material usage and/or work performed. • Perform specific duties using various welding equipment/tools which may include, but are not limited to the following: weld wire, torch, pedestal grinder, regulators, vises and/or fixtures, and weld template gauges. • Inspect competed work for conformance specifications. • Other duties as assigned. • Must pass a physical examination including drug testing. • Background checks also performed. Welding is Code quality, using TIG, pulsed MIG, flux core and subarc on carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless and some nickel alloy. Welding in position on manipulators and positioners as well as all-position manual welding. Shop work also includes fitup, tube fitting, general fabrication and machining relevant to pipe and vessel work, mechanic work on shop equipment and compressors and drive motors, as well as blast and paint. At least three years experience in pressure vessel, piping or boiler work is desirable, with pay rate commensurate with experience and welding test results.
