Title: Welder – Production Reports To: Welding Supervisor FLSA Job Status: Non- Exempt Travel Requirement: None Basic Job Functions: Welders produce welded assemblies from fabricated components per custom or stock specifications in a variety of metals using a combination of MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques. Applies knowledge and skill to perform intermediate welding duties. Experience: • Minimum Vocational or Technical School certificate in welding trades, two (2) months experience in a welding shop environment or demonstrated proficiency in basic welding procedures. • Certified to a moderate level of skill and knowledge to ensure compliance with standards and specifications. Education: • High School Diploma or GED Essential Functions & Responsibilities • With close supervision, positions, aligns, fits and welds together parts using jigs, welding torch and hand tools. • Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications, using square, ruler and measuring tape. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment. • Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager. Required Skills: • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics, recognizing welding symbols and specifications. • Basic Math skills and Mechanical aptitude. • MIG & TIG welded parts as defined in specifications sheets. Working Conditions • Working conditions are normal for a welding environment where exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp cutting tools, dust, fumes and airborne particles, temperature extremes and elevated noise level. • Employees must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and or move more than 75 pounds. • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to strand, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, talk and hear. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. • Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection and work boots.

Welder/Fabricator

Haskell Corporation is now accepting applications for welders/fabricators for our Bellingham structural steel shop. Duties include welding, fabricating, layout, positioning, aligning, and fitting parts of structural metal products. Entry level and experienced workers are encouraged to apply. Desired skills include blueprint reading and layout, operation of saws, punch press, shears, brake, pipe bender, welders (FCAW, MIG, and TIG), and safe operation of forklifts trucks and equipment. WABO certification is a plus. We are a drug free workplace and pre-employment testing is required. We are a union shop offering a pay scale of $20.85 to $41.70 hourly (on check, total package $41.59 – $74.56 hourly), depending upon experience and qualifications. Benefits include a comprehensive full family medical dental and vision package at no additional cost, annual negotiated cost of living increases, 8 paid holidays, plus 1 week vacation to start. Work hours are 7:00 am- 3:15 pm Monday-Friday with lunch from 12:00-12:30. Overtime may be offered/required depending on workload.
