We are searching for a reliable, deadline-driven MIG welders to join our team of skilled professionals for an oustanding client in Vincennes, Indiana. We are also interviewing for general laborer for shop clean up. This will include all janitorial duties, heavy lifting, some painting, some lawn mowing, picking up debris from property etc. Hours would be Mon-Fri 4:30PM to 2:45am. Friday's are usually half days. The MIG welder's responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tools and metals, measuring and assembling metal pieces, using cutting tools, determining gas ratios, drilling holes, and monitoring inventory. You should be able to observe health and safety regulations at all times and report any issues to the line manager. To be successful as a MIG welder, you should demonstrate excellent physical strength and dexterity, as well as superb attention to detail. Outstanding MIG welders are able to interpret written and verbal specifications and stick to deadlines even under extreme conditions. MIG Welder Responsibilities: • Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications. • Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage. • Interpreting specifications and blueprints accurately. • Training welding apprentices and mentoring recruits. • Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools. • Operating cranes and other machinery to transport materials to welding worksites. • Determining correct gas ratios. • Testing the strength of each join during and after project completion. • Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required. • Liaising with the line manager or supervisor, reporting any issues, and making suggestions for improvement. MIG Welder Requirements: • High school diploma or similar. • A completed apprenticeship or vocational training. • A relevant certificate from a welding association may be required. • MUST HAVE VERIFIABLE EXPERIENCE IN MIG WELDING • Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity. • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure. • Sound understanding of welding safety. • The ability to teach would be advantageous. • A willingness to learn and work overtime when required • Must pass drug screen and nationwide background check. Expectations: • Self-motivated with minimal supervision. • Effective communication and coordination with co-workers and supervisors. • Compliance with Company, State, and Federal regulations, plans, and policies. • Adherence to high safety standards, including wearing required PPE. • Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets and operate power and hand tools. • Availability to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements for Surface Operations: • Constant walking, standing, stair and ladder climbing, overhead work, bending, and twisting. • Ability to stand and squat for prolonged periods. • Seated operation of equipment or vehicles for up to 4 hours. • Work from elevated positions, ascend/descend 14' ladders. • Lift/raise 10-50 lbs frequently. • Carry boxes 50 ft with 50 lbs load. • Lift boxes from floor to shoulder and from 17" to 36" with 50 lbs load. • Work overhead with 5 lbs in each hand. • Balance adequately on beams. • Perform repetitive hand/wrist motions, with rapid reflexes and good hand-eye coordination. • Work in extreme conditions: weather, dust, mud, noise, lighting, hot environments, confined spaces. • Work with equipment vibrating at moderate to high levels. • Wear protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other PPE as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
