Job Description: This entry-level position is responsible for operating heat or RF welding machines to create secure fabric welds and tubes. The schedule for this position will be 2:00pm - 10:35pm, Monday - Friday. The role includes basic fabrication tasks such as grommet installation, weld preparation, and assisting with finishing processes. This position serves as the foundation for learning welding techniques, production processes, and assembly methods within the department. You will be provided for all training for this position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Maintain strong interpersonal skills—listen, communicate clearly, and remain professional. • Follow all safety and security procedures; report hazards and use equipment correctly. • Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability. • Set grommets using a grommet machine or by hand with punch and dies. • Weld U-tape over panel weld seams. • Crease welded attachments. • Perform fold-over welds. • Execute overlapping joint welds. • Assist in the Finishing department as needed. • Perform additional production tasks as assigned. Other Responsibilities: • Complete all required safety checks and use personal protective equipment (PPE). Job Qualifications: • Ability to use tools and machines; experience with fabric or hot-air welding is a plus. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and use basic math. • Strong work ethic; quality-focused and deadline-driven. • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime. • High School Diploma or equivalent, or a combination of relevant work and education. • Ability to maintain professional relationships across teams. • Clear and productive communication skills; approachable and open to discussion. • Professional and respectful conduct; supports an inclusive environment. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain organized. • Demonstrates initiative, learns quickly, adapts to challenges, and maintains a positive, solutions-oriented attitude. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: • Work in a safety-conscious production environment with loud noise levels. • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs. • Use hands to handle, feel, reach, and operate tools and materials. • Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate electrical risk.
