Join our world-class, innovative team today.Position Specific DescriptionThe PV Solar/BESS Technician III will play a crucial role in supporting the operations and maintenance of NextEra Energy's photovoltaic (PV) solar and storage systems located at Blue Summit Energy Storage near Vernon, TX. As a member of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, the technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of clean energy systems.Responsibilities: Conduct routine preventive maintenance activities on solar panels, battery storage systems, and associated equipment. Troubleshoot and undertake corrective maintenance to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring maximum system uptime and efficiency. Adhere to maintenance schedules and follow established procedures for inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and component replacements. Utilize monitoring software and tools to regularly monitor and analyze system performance, identifying deviations and inefficiencies. Generate performance reports and maintain accurate records of system performance, including energy production, equipment status, and maintenance activities. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues. Adhere to environmental regulations and procedures during maintenance activities and waste management. Maintain accurate documentation of O&M activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records. Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders regarding work progress, challenges, and recommendations.Job OverviewThe Site Technician will support the Regional Manager or designee to ensure the perfect execution of the PGD processes. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our solar and battery energy storage systems.
