The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of solar energy systems on both residential and commercial properties. Solar Service Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, construction, and renewable energy systems. As a Solar Service Technician, you will be responsible for trouble shooting, diagnosing and repair of solar energy systems in both residential and commercial settings. You will interact closely with staff and customer to properly estimate repair costs and inventory needed. • Install and or replace solar panels and related equipment. Capable of working with heights. • MUST HAVE CLEAR DRIVING RECORD AND PASS INSURANCE HISTORY CHECK • Operate hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively. • Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards throughout all installations. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times. • Interact with customers on a professional level as part of a multi-tasking team. • Perform onsite installations, repairs, and troubleshooting. • Check and provide complete documentation and estimates to clients. • Carry out site root analysis. • Apply root cause analysis techniques on all major and recurring faults. • Investigate technical failures and prepare formal technical reports. • Record keeping and management of spare part movements. Skills • Strong electrical experience with an emphasis on high voltage systems. • Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints. • Previous experience as a inverter and battery technician is required. • Familiarity with roofing techniques as they pertain to solar panel installation. • Knowledge of construction site protocols and safety regulations. • Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely. • A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.
