L&H Companies is experiencing growth and is seeking a full-time Custom Metal Fabricator. The primary function of this position includes metal forming, welding and fitting of sheet aluminum, tube, and angle. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Fabricate aluminum sheet and extrusion • Build and assemble structural metal products • Read and understand construction drawings and fabricate according to the drawings • Determine material needs/cut list and inform supervisors what material is needed • Help in fabrication and assembly work, when necessary Requirements: • Advanced understanding of aluminum fabrication (i.e. welding, chemical and mechanical fastening), plastics and metal machining • Knowledge of industrial materials (i.e. plastics, metals, composite materials) • Advanced understanding and use of hand and general power tools, as well as, measuring tools • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment is required • Excellent organizational, management, and communication skills; written, verbal, and listening • Requires strong problem-solving skills and extraordinary attention to detail • Must be willing and able to work outside of regular business hours if/when needed If you’re looking for an interesting career in a unique industry contact us for consideration.
