Sheet Metal Installer

We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market. We are looking to hire a Sheet Metal Installer to join our self-perform team for ongoing work in Pensacola, FL. Our Sheet Metal Installers will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of ductwork, air distribution, and HVAC equipment on an active construction site, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes. Work involves technical application of mechanical principles. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Per diem may be eligible for qualified candidates not local to the Pensacola region. Pay: $25.00- 49.00 per hour Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(K) with Match Requirements for this position include: • High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimal education required for this position. • 4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level sheet metal worker in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting is required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred. HVAC Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanics

Craftsmen Contractors is currently seeking experienced HVAC Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanics for work in the Pensacola, Florida area. This is for an ongoing commercial project at an elementary school. This is a temp to permanent position for the right candidate. Weekly pay by direct deposit. Schedule is Monday thru Friday working day shifts. Start time is 6:30am. Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanics: $26 - $30/hr. depending on experience Job Duties: • Fabricate, assemble, install, and hang sheet metal products and ductwork • Read blueprints • Section cutting to assemble commercial rigid air conditioning duct work / systems • Field fabricate, install and hang ducts and duct fittings, doing paperwork, adhering to company procedures, and following safety procedures. • You will also help repair existing systems, test and examine systems for quality and make plans and material estimates for each project. COMMERCIAL SHEET METAL DUCT MECHANIC - EXPERIENCED

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal ductwork and associated air conditioning units. • Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material using scribers, dividers, squares, and rulers, applying knowledge of shop mathematics and layout techniques to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or by using templates. • Shapes metal using hand tools. Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, using hand tools and portable power tools. • Installs assembled ductwork and/or equipment in supportive framework according to blueprints, using hand tools, power tools, and lifting and handling devices. • Inspects assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, scales, dial indicators, gauges, and micrometers. • Perform other duties as required. WORKING CONDITIONS: Must closely follow safety rules for using hand tools, ladders, and scaffolding. May be required to work on roof-tops, attics, and in crawl spaces. Time spent on job sites would involve the typical safety hazards associated with any construction site.
