This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $27.31/hour based on experience plus $140/day per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope: • Installation of foundations, ventilation, bulkheads and shipboard furniture • Sheet metal fabrication shop work • Comprehend complex ventilation, assembly drawings, blueprints & sketches to include weld symbols, material, types, datum and reference lines • Layoff piece parts for fabrication and assembly • Assemble piece parts in accordance with specifications in a quality manner • Use small hand tools electric drills grinders rivet guns and shop equipment drill press press break Shears etc Responsibilities • 3+ years of experience as a First Class Sheet Metal Worker • Ability to read complex ventilation drawings, blueprints, and sketches (including weld - symbols and material types) • Proficient with fractional and decimal dimensions • Skilled in fabricating and assembling parts according to specifications • Experience in physically demanding environments • Knowledge of OSHA regulations for shipbuilding • Experience using hand tools, electric drills, grinders, rivet guns, and shop equipment (drill press, press brake, shears, etc.) Qualifications Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
