The Sheet Metal Mechanic will work alongside other experienced sheet metal mechanics to assist in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of sheet metal products and systems. Job Title: HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic Commercial Project lasting approximately a year or longer Location: Memphis Tennessee Pay is based upon experience ranging from $26-$30 per hour Per diem is $45 per day worked and HOTEL PAID FOR Travel time and mileage paid for (for initial trip to job site) Responsibilities: • Assist sheet metal mechanics in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements of each project. • Assist with the layout, measuring, and marking of sheet metal materials using appropriate tools and techniques. • Support the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal products, including ductwork, fittings, and architectural elements. • Assist in the installation of sheet metal systems, such as HVAC ductwork and ventilation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. • Assist with the maintenance and repair of existing sheet metal systems as needed. • Handle and transport sheet metal materials, equipment, and tools safely and efficiently. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize workplace accidents and hazards. • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate any challenges or issues to the supervisor.
