UNITED TRADES OF AMERICA is currently seeking dedicated and motivated HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our team. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will work alongside other experienced sheet metal mechanics to assist in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of sheet metal products and systems. Job Title: HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic Commercial Project lasting approximately a year or longer Location: Memphis Tennessee Pay is based upon experience ranging from $26-$30 per hour Per diem is $45 per day worked and HOTEL PAID FOR Travel time and mileage paid for (for initial trip to job site) Responsibilities: • Assist sheet metal mechanics in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements of each project. • Assist with the layout, measuring, and marking of sheet metal materials using appropriate tools and techniques. • Support the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal products, including ductwork, fittings, and architectural elements. • Assist in the installation of sheet metal systems, such as HVAC ductwork and ventilation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. • Assist with the maintenance and repair of existing sheet metal systems as needed. • Handle and transport sheet metal materials, equipment, and tools safely and efficiently. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize workplace accidents and hazards. • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate any challenges or issues to the supervisor.
