General Purpose of the Position: The position of production worker is responsible for performing repetitive workstation, or line assembly operations to mass-produce sheet metal components, or to assemble those components into a completed product. This is done by operating machinery and other related duties as required. Essential Functions: • Performs assembly-type functions using hand and/or power tools. • Operates press brake to form flat sheets • Operates automatic fastening machines and devices Other tasks as assigned by the Company: • Must be able to read a tape measure • Ability to perform assembly type functions using hand and/or power tools Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: • High School Diploma or GED, preferred • Minimum of 1-year general work production/manufacturing experience preferred. • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as: criminal background check and drug screen • ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak, write, read routine reports or job orders. Ability to understand job instructions. • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, factions and decimals. • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret, understand, and carry out instructions finished in written, oral or schedule form. • ATTENDANCE DEMANDS: Attendance is required Monday through Friday within normal business hours as established by the supervisor.
