Sheet Metal Shop Foreman/Manager About Pickens Contracting, Inc (Formerly known as Pickens Roofing): We are a family owned Roofing, ACM Panel Installation, and Sheet Metal Contracting Company located in the Upstate since 1904. Our main office is in Greer, SC, but our field crews work on multiple site locations. We currently have approximately 80 employees. This person must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment. There is room for growth in this position as the Company grows for a very self-motivated and quick learner! Our Sheet Metal Division is rapidly growing in the SC and NC areas and we are seeking top talent in the Upstate, SC Position Summary • Looking for: • Sheet Metal Shop Manager • All positions need to be able to: • Communicate with members of the crew as well as project supervisor. • Maintain project area in a neat and orderly fashion. Skills Required • Ability to use all hand tools associated with sheet metal fabrication including simple hand tools and specific sheet metal related tools. • Ability to identify safety hazards in project area and take corrective measures to eliminate or reduce risks associated with those hazards. • Assign or procure proper tools and equipment required to complete specific tasks or projects • Track and record all tools and equipment to and from jobs • Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy weighted objects including materials and equipment. • Knowledge of light gauge sheet metal fabrication machinery and tools • Ability to lift 40 - 75lbs • Dependable and able to be at work on time. • Self-motivated Education and Experience • Driver’s License is required in lead role and reliable transportation is required in installer positions. • Flexibility to travel to local and out of town jobsites. Sheet Metal Journeyman

Job Description GreenWood, Inc. is now actively recruiting applicants for our Sheet Metal Journeyman position. We are looking for applicants who are interested in a Regular Full-Time, Non-Exempt position at the Mitsubishi site in Greer, SC. Employees normally work Monday through Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm, 40 hours per week and occasional overtime as needed. We are currently looking for an applicant who is interested in a position without the need to travel. GreenWood does not offer per diem at this job site. The Sheet Metal Journeyman is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment to ensure efficient and effective operations in order to manufacture a product per the customer drawings, specifications, or other form of instruction. Position Responsibilities - Essential • Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs of sheet metal products and equipment. • Sets up machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal. • Shapes metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammer. • Inspects, assembles, and smooths seams and joints of burred surfaces. • Analyzes all required blueprints, drawings, work orders, and sketches in order to fabricate and install desired product or part. Is able to detect errors and correct through proper channels. • Checks all structure components prior to installation to prevent damage. • Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities • Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a "safety-sensitive" position. Position Responsibilities - Non-Essential/Other • Other duties and special projects as assigned Essential Skills And Experience • High School Diploma or equivalent • Four years (4) combined training and experience in sheet metal processes and equipment • Extensive knowledge of structural, sheet metal repairs and modifications to include fabrication of sheet metal parts • Thorough working knowledge of blueprints to determine type of configuration and special instructions prior to installation • Extensive knowledge in the process for making and repairing sheet metal and composite parts • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive tasks with focus on quantity and quality • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Demonstrates a high level of customer service and strong communication (both listening and speaking) and interpersonal skills • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job but with minimal direct supervision • Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s) Beneficial Skills And Experience • Greater than four years of experience Company Description We are a customer-focused, integrated maintenance company operating projects throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
