Job Description Job Description Sheet Metal Fabricator - Garden City - Days - $25 to $28 Per Hour Sheet Metal Fabricator Job Summary: A leading Prototype & Production Manufacturing Company, specializing in CNC and Sheet Metal work is looking for a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their team. Please, Do not apply unless you have at least, 5 years experience working in a manufacturing company specializing in making parts for various industries such as automotive. The ideal candidate has completed a training program through an industry apprenticeship or has at least 5 years of manufacturing experience in a machine shop. Knowledge of welding (MIG & TIG) a plus. Required Skills: Minimum 5 years’ experience in metal working Read and interpret simple and complex engineering prints Must be able to read Calipers, Micrometers and other various measuring equipment Must have extensive experience using Press Breaks, Hydraulic and Mechanical Presses, and other metal forming and stamping equipment Strong understanding of Basic Shop Math Experience deburring parts with deburring tools, grinders, etc. High level of organization and discipline Desire to continually learn and develop technical skills Strong mechanical skill and aptitude Quality and accuracy focused Must have own tools Desired Skills: Welding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals with MIG & TIG welding machines Spot Welding knowledge Operating a Manual Mill and Lathe Candidate to Client Submission Procedure: Upon successful MeritHall Interview, Candidate Resume is Emailed to Client, a Job Site Interview is Scheduled and after a successful Interview a Wage Rate and Start Date is negotiated.
