Journeyperson Plumber

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Journeyperson Plumber will be responsible for ensuring that all plumbing work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. • Perform pipe assembly, and installation of various types of piping. • Conduct remodeling projects involving plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with local codes. • Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems. • Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various plumbing tasks. • Conduct field service calls to troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues for clients. • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Experience • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Plumber or similar role in the plumbing industry. • Strong skills in blueprint reading, basic math, and problem-solving. • Familiarity with piping techniques and various plumbing materials. • Ability to build and assemble plumbing systems according to specifications. • Experience with field service operations is highly desirable. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members. Responsibilities To maintain, operate, repair, build and rebuild plant infrastructure and systems pertaining to it. Level B • To maintain, operate, repair, build and rebuild plant infrastructure and systems pertaining to it. • To assist all other crafts/trades in the maintenance and construction of plant equipment within the Spirit Wichita facility. • Assist in layout, construct, install, modify, repair, and maintain all commercial and industrial plumbing systems including heating water, drainage , air, steam, paint, water, and gas. • Fabricate and repair all types of hoses including vacuum, chemical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, paint, gas (all types), and water. • Ensure compliance with current specifications and regulations. Qualifications Required: • Must have 3-5 years plumbing experience • All applicants must be willing and able to work any shift, including alternative work weeks. Majority of new hires will be hired on 2nd shift Preferred: • Plumbers license All Candidates must pass the WorkKeys Assessment (workkeys.com) or provide verification that they have passed the WorkKeys Assessment. Delay in completing your WorkKeys Assessment will result in a delay in your start date. You may complete your assessment in advance of an interview.
