Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance. This role requires an individual who can effectively troubleshoot, maintain, and repair various systems and equipment within our facilities. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/District Maintenance - General Date Posted: 11/21/2024 Location: Maintenance/Supply DepartmentThis is a year-round position working 40 hours per week. Base hourly rate is $23.05 with proper certification. Additional compensation for level of education and past work-related experience may be granted. Boiler experience preferred. Purpose: The District Maintenance Worker maintains school buildings and grounds in top condition to ensure full and productive use of district facilities. To accomplish these tasks District Maintenance Worker must work closely with the staff and administration of USD 253. Responsible to: Director of Maintenance and Grounds Payment rate: As established by the Emporia Board of Education Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Prior work experience in electricity, plumbing, painting, carpentry, custodial and general maintenance. • Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the Central Office. • Desire to continue career improvement. • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.
