As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and industrial buildings. You will work independently or as part of a team to ensure plumbing systems are installed and maintained according to industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing systems, installation techniques, and local codes and regulations. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Role Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plumbing systems including boilers. • Perform plumbing installations, upgrades, and modifications as required. • Fault finding & repair on plumbing systems. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used. • Provide detailed reports on works carried out. • Communicating with Clients/Customers and providing excellent customer service. • Ensure work requests are carried out on time and to a satisfactory level. • Coordinate subcontractors when required. • Fault finding and repair of gas boilers as per I.S:813. • Service and annual safety check of domestic gas boilers as per I.S:813. • Replacement of domestic gas boilers as per I.S:813. • Good knowledge of current RGI regulations Qualifications • Fully qualified plumber and RGI registered • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude • Basic math skills for measuring, calculating pipe lengths, and determining angles • Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently or as part of a team • Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor • Experience with welding is a plus • Valid driver's license Role Requirements • Minimum 5+ years post apprenticeship qualification experience • Must hold Senior Trade Cert (Plumbing) or National Craft Cert • Must be RGI registered • Experienced in general plumbing maintenance • Experienced in boiler maintenance, repairs and installation • Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills • Ability to work on own and as well as part of a team. • Ability to manage and prioritize workload
