Installs small plumbing fixtures, appliances, and equipment such as wash basins, faucets, traps, vents, and similar equipment. Assists in the repair and installation of fountains, toilets, urinals, hot water heaters, well pumps, chlorinators, and similar equipment. Assists in the installation and repair of copper, black steel, galvanized steel, cast iron, and plastic pipe. Assists in the installation and maintenance of air, steam, water, sewer, and gas systems. Assists in installing main and branch sewer and water lines. Uses tools and equipment of the plumbing trade. Reads and interprets blueprints. Follows safety procedures and plumbing codes.
